Monthly meeting Speaker Highlight: Andrew Arbuckle-lockwood

Andrew Arbuckle-Lockwood is a medical device technology consultant with experience in both neurology and digital health. Andrew is based in Denver, Colorado, and works for Rune Labs, a Silicon Valley-based company focused on building tools to help those living with Parkinson's Disease and other neurodegenerative conditions. Rune Lab's digital health product, StrivePD, works directly with the Apple Watch and Medtronic's DBS implant to objectively track Parkinson's symptoms, provide critical insight into daily patterns that might improve the patient's condition, and enhance communication between patients and their care teams. StrivePD is currently available free of charge in the Apple App Store! Andrew will be speaking at the monthly meeting on Friday, January 19th.

Volunteer Spotlight: Debra Wasson

Debra Wasson graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in Community Health Education. She has worked and volunteered for multiple profit and non-profit organizations to promote health and wealthiness. Her mother, who lives out of state, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019. Because Debra does not live to close to her mother, she wants to serve others with the disease. Debra is married with 3 adult children, and has lived in the Austin area since 2007.
