CAPS Members Learn from Experts

Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, all in-person meetings have been temporarily suspended. However, we are holding virtual group meetings until it is safe again to meet.

The Capital Area Parkinson’s Society meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, in the 5th Floor Conference Room of the Medical Office Building at St. David’s Medical Center. The address is 3000 North IH-35, Austin, 78705.  (Click here for a map.)

Free parking is available in Parking Garage 2, which is also where the entrance to the building is located.  Please Note: signs at the entrance to the parking area may say “Closed” or “Staff only”. However, one lane will be open to allow CAPS members and guests to enter and park.

Most CAPS meetings feature a guest speaker whose topic relates to health or living concerns of individuals with Parkinson’s Disease and their care partners.

You can expect a lively question and answer session following the speaker’s presentation. Occasionally we change the format of the meeting to a round table discussion and always have a winter holiday party!

Free refreshments and a pot luck or sponsored meal conclude our time together , providing more time to socialize! Meetings conclude at 4:00 p.m., making this a jam-packed two hours of information, fun and sharing.
