May 2023
The Capital Area Parkinson’s Society proudly hosted our annual fundraising event at Lazarus Brewing Co. The event was filled with enthusiasm as attendees gathered together to show their support for our amazing community!
The venue was abuzz with excitement throughout the evening. One of the highlights was the silent auction, featuring an impressive array of enticing items. This added an element of intrigue, engaging the attendees in friendly competition while raising funds for the cause.
To set the perfect ambiance for the night, talented bluegrass artists, John Lundbom & Everett Wren, entertained the guests with their lively melodies. Their energetic tunes created an unforgettable atmosphere and set the stage for an incredible evening.
Guests of all ages had the opportunity to mingle and connect with one another while enjoying the company and the refreshing brews crafted by the local brewery. The event provided a delightful blend of entertainment and philanthropy, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.
Our fundraiser featured an impressive lineup of big prizes, adding an extra layer of excitement. Attendees had the chance to win amazing vacations to breathtaking destinations such as Costa Rica, Deer Valley, Florence, Tuscany, Laguna Beach, and Kalahari Resort.
Lucky attendees had the opportunity to secure fantastic prizes, including coveted tickets to experience the thrill of Round Rock Express games. The indulgence continued with luxurious vacation packages from Inspirato and Kalahari Resort, offering unforgettable getaways. Additionally, lucky bidders can look forward to enjoying delectable dining experiences at various renowned restaurants throughout Austin. These are just a few of the amazing items that were won, making the evening even more memorable.
These funds were used for technical updates to the website and our CAPS Cares fund which provides support like transportation, assistance with bills, in home care, medication expenses, and more. Funds are used to provide professional staff to provide resource navigation, support group coordination and facilitation, in person or help line education and counseling to persons with Parkinson’s and their care partners.
