The Capital Area Parkinson’s Society (CAPS) was founded in 1984 to address the needs of people with Parkinson’s disease, their families, friends and carepartners.
Our mission is to address the needs of persons with Parkinson’s disease, their carepartners, and the public, by providing education, current information regarding research and resources, social interaction and emotional support.

Meet Our Partners

AGE of Central Texas is a regional nonprofit organization that provides education and support to people all along the spectrum of growing older. Serving over 3,000 older adults and caregivers annually, AGE primary programs include adult day health care, caregiver education and resources, early memory loss support, health equipment lending, and peer-based computer classes for seniors. Power for Parkinson’s is a non-profit that provides multiple opportunities for free exercise, dance, and social programming in Austin and the surrounding communities. Research from the Parkinson’s Outcomes Project shows that regular exercise enhances the quality of life, and PfP helps make a wide variety of professionally moderated and structured exercise programs available for all those in the area.
