CAPS meetings start at 2:00 p.m. with a information session. Members then have a chance to share significant happenings in their lives and/or something about Parkinson's Disease that they believe would be of interest to the group.

Following this, we frequently have a speaker whose topic relates to health or living concerns of individuals with Parkinson's Disease and their carepartners. You can expect a lively question and answer session following the speaker's presentation.

Following the speaker, those with Parkinson's Disease have a choice of an exercise program led by Tammy Steele, a physical therapist specializing in exercise and movement or a smaller group meeting with others with PD. Caregivers meet in their own support group, allowing them to freely share their thoughts on living with and assisting a person with Parkinson's Disease. Free refreshments follow and more discussion is encouraged. Meetings conclude at 4:00 p.m., making this a jam-packed two hours of information, fun, exercise and sharing.
