March 19th – Living with Parkinson’s Panel Discussion

Dr. Britt Stone, Sarah King, Elise Siprelle to discuss key issues of interest to the PD community

Our March membership meeting will feature a panel discussion on several key issues for those living with Parkinson’s. The panelists include Dr. Britt Stone, a movement disorder neurologist with Baylor Scott & White; Sarah King, DPT, owner of Invigorate Physical Therapy & Wellness in Austin; and Elise Siprelle, Speech Therapist with Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital, and certified in the LSVT / Loud therapy for Parkinson’s.

Dr. Britt Stone hails from Tupelo, Mississippi. She completed her Bachelor’s in neuroscience at Vanderbilt University Britt Stoneand received her Medical Degree from Meharry Medical College. Dr. Stone completed her neurology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Lily Safra-endowed movement disorders fellowship at New York University Medical Center. She began her practice at the Round Rock campus of Baylor Scott & White in 2015.

Sarah King is well known to many of us at CAPS. Sarah holds a Doctorate in Physical sarah_king2Therapy from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. Ms. King is also a Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery (PWR!) trained therapist, which is an extension of the LSVT Big and Loud program.

Elise Siprelle is an experienced Speech Therapist with Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital, and Certified in the LSVT / Loud therapy for those with Parkinson’s.
